Let's say that you were working on a post when, you were called away, you simply lost your train of thought, or, you are posting from your phone, but would like to finish it later on your pc, etc., It happens, but let's say that you wanted to save your post, to continue it later on when you return, or remembered what you originally wanted to say.. so what do you do?
In this case, you simply click the button that says "Save As Draft."

As you can see, I was working on a topic, when I lost my train of thought, and decided to save my draft, so I can go back to it later. So, I clicked "Save As Draft" and I was taken to the following confirmation message.

Next, I decided to reply to another topic, when once again, I lost my train of thought and have to save my reply as a draft too.

So, once again, I clicked "Save As Draft" and I was taken to the following confirmation message.

What this does, is it saves your post as a draft, and it stores it in your User CP, where you can retrieve it later on.
This concludes the first part of saving your posts and topics as a draft. The following part will walk you through on how to restore them from the draft.
